Ask a question about this product

The Hydro Cell Oxygen Sensor Extenders are usually used in newer vehicles or any vehicle that has an oxygen sensor to turn off your SES (service engine soon) light, or CEL (check engine light).  When burning hydrogen with your HHO unit too much oxygen will be sent into the exhaust and thereby causing the ECM (Electronic Control Module) to go into its default cycle, dumping loads of gasoline into the engine and ruining any attempt to increase your fuel economy by the use of Hydrogen, you will actually start to get worse gas mileage unless you take steps to control your vehicles O2 Sensors.

Background - In the past, HHO Systems, would not work when applied to fuel injection engines because fuel injection systems are designed to prevent efficient combustion!   Increasing the combustion efficiency of an engine increases the exhaust oxygen percentage.  Fuel injection engines use an oxygen sensor to control the air/fuel ratio of the engine. The increased oxygen content in the exhaust is 'read' by the computer to be a lean mixture in the engine.  The computer then adds extra fuel to bring the pollution back to 'normal'.  The Oxygen Sensor Extenders will usually solve this problem by simply removing the sensor from the direct flow of exhaust gases. You simply add the Oxygen Sensor Extenders to your cars original Oxygen Sensor and reinstall them back into the exhaust pipe. That's it.

The Extenders move the factory O2 sensors out of the exhaust pipe approximately 3/4" so that it senses less oxygen in your exhaust.  This procedure should also turn OUT the check engine light.

You will need 2 sets of these Extenders if you have a DUAL exhaust system.

NOTE:

For most cars pre 2000, usually only the O2 sensors on the front side, (closest to your engine) to your catalytic converter are the ones that will need to have an extender added.  For cars post 2000 both the "upstream" and the "downstream" sensors will need to be addressed.
